Tempo
– the speed at which the track plays, usually measured in BPM

Tempo Sync
– usually used in an effect so it runs in time with the master tempo

Tempo Variation
– when the tempo speeds up or slows down

Timestretch

– the process of changing the speed or duration of an audio signal without affecting its pitch

Tone-Arm
– This is the long metal arm attached at the top right side of the turntable. The stylus and cartridge are attached to the end of the tone arm. Usually S-shaped, although straight tone arms are becoming more popular, as they are supposed to prevent skipping

Tonic Plugin

– analog-modelling, multi-mode filter

Toolbar
– houses the various tools, such as draw, edit, erase, etc.

Torque
– a measurement of rotational force, usually expressed in oz-in or lb-ft. Better torque in a turntable means less drag time when you release the record and a faster start time when you press the start button

Track

– another term for a channel. Each track can contain an audio/MIDI device or effect. They host clips and manage the flow of signals, as well as the creation of new clips through recording, sound synthesis, effects processing and mixing.

Track Parameter
– adjustable variables within a track, such as velocity, transpose, etc.

Transpose
– to change the key of a piece of music by a specific interval

Turntable
– the piece of equipment used to play vinyl records. They are most commonly used in pairs and in conjunction with a mixer. There are two main types – direct drive and belt drive – which differ greatly. The industry standard is the Technics 1200.
