Velocity
– a type of MIDI data (range 1 to 127) usually used to indicate how quickly a key was pushed down (attack velocity) or allowed to rise (release velocity)
Velocity Lane / Window
– shows the velocity at which notes are hit and lets you manipulate them
Vocal Sample
– a digital recording of a vocal which can be a hit, a loop, or an entire song
Volume Fader
– an up/down channel slider that increases and decreases volume
VST Instrument Folder
– used to house your VST instruments
VST Instruments
– external software that runs inside a VST-compatible host programme
