At Sonic Academy’s state of the art Belfast based Training Centre (we’ve recently moved to the Cathedral Quarter) we’ve got a full house of professional tutors who are all musicians, DJs and producers.
For the past three years we’ve connected with local schools and colleges delivering accredited training in Sound Recording, Music Technology, and DJing. Under the Entitlement Framework initiative, we work with students from Key Stage 4 and above, giving them direct experience and practical vocational skills across the music technology field.
CEA ACETS and Edexcel BTEC qualifications
Qualifications earned at Sonic Academy through the Entitlement Framework are the early foundations of a career in music technology and production. Sonic Academy’s in-house tutors are fully qualified to deliver a range of both CCEA and Edexcel accredited courses. Further information on these qualifications are available on request.
So far we have worked with and are currently working with Christian Brothers School, Corpus Christi College, Belfast Boys Model, Hazelwood College and Edmund Rice College, with the expertise and unique teaching style of our dedicated team of tutors leading to resounding positive feedback.
Colin Quinn, Head of Music at Christian Brothers School said;
"The opportunity to learn music technology from all at Sonic Academy has been an invaluable and inspiring experience for both pupil and teacher alike.”
Michael McMahon, a student at Christian Brothers School commented;
"Sonic Academy's Music Technology course has been extraordinary. It has opened our horizons to the past, present and future of music technology. The guidance and experience we received from their tutors was fantastic."
We wish to expand our reach during the 2010-11 academic year and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss delivering a programme to students at your school.
