arf, I can not find the midi file for the bass :-/ It's a pretty complex pattern and I really wanted to follow the exact process. Even if i'm using ableton :-)

actually it is pretty good to follow the tut even if your using another DAW. If you know your DAW a little bit and you know yours synths you can reproduice everything. And it forces you to think a little bit more because you constantly needs to adapt things to your DAW and VSTs. Nevertheless I have some trouble reproducing the sound coming out of the EXS24!!! I'm using Massive. Does someone can help me?

I dont use logic, so a track play through would be really useful to help get to grips with the tutorial.

This is the second HTM by Chris I'd wish was in Ableton. Too bad his DAW of choice is Logic.

To all those looking for a track playthrough, they are almost always available. You need to click on the picture that says "Click here to watch introduction video" at the top of the screen, as supposed to it being included on the videos list.

Great tut. Guys/Gals, follow the things he's doing. NOT the buttons or software he uses. If you notice he has a very carved mix getting rid of unused frequency spectrum. He is applying little bits of processing at multiple points, his bass riff is not complex at all, its catchy and effective. All he is doing is holding a note in mono and playing little bits over it in octaves to give it movement. brilliantly simple. Cheers Chris for a fantastic walkthrough of this stuff. Looking forward to the others.
