Course description
It's time for the Tech House Takeover, and to kick things off in style, we welcome back Scott Lowe from Mescal Kids to take us through an epic masterclass in How To Make Tech House.
Following a reference where we listen out for some classic elements, Scott rebuilds a demo track from scratch, starting with the driving tribal drums and rolling sub bassline that carries the track. We then dive into some vocal chops and a catchy vocal phrase demixed from AI before adding call-and-response synth lines.
Once we have a main loop in place, we map out the arrangement, breakdown and buildup - focusing on transitions using automation to keep the track flowing before scattering some effects and carrying out a mixdown and basic master.
The end result is an absolute monster of a track ready to play out and fill the club floor.
But that's not all...
To celebrate this event, we're hosting a brand new Remix Competition where you can use your newfound skills and make your very own version of this track with some incredible and exclusive prizes up for grabs!
