Welcome to Tech Tips Volume 71!
In these set of tips, we look at how we can take a step back from solely using sample packs and design our very own unique drums to use in our tracks.
Noah, aka Haterade, predominantly uses Ableton's 'Operator' synth to craft a range of percussive sounds from kicks, snares, hi-hats and more. These can be tweaked and morphed, so you can not only up your sound design game but also get the sound you're after by understanding the synthesis rather than scrolling through a ton of one-shots.
