The Squatters
The Squatters have toured, produced and worked relentlessly in order to establish themselves as an act that the underground scene has had no choice but to sit up and take notice of. Tirelessly refining a sound that combines flavours of house, garage and bassline, what seems like two lifetimes of sofa-surfing and sweaty basement raves has seen the pair tread an enviable path through the music industry, leaving their mark at every step along the way. With releases on Get Twisted, Southern Fried Records and Champion Records, the inimitable duo can count enviable support from some serious industry heavyweights including AC Slater, Tough Love, Kissy Sell Out, Danny Howard, Don Diablo, Low Steppa and The Bloody beetroots, as well as airtime on BBC Radio 1, Capital FM and Kiss FM. Remixing for the likes of Eddie Amador and Vanilla Ace, a Route 94 bootleg championed by DJ Mag, and a fledgling imprint of their own in the shape of What’s Your Status, it’s easy to see how the pair now have all bases covered on the production and release front.
